It was really disappointing to wake up and discover that Weekends With Maury and Connie had been canceled. Apparently, the ratings for that news show were terrible and only a handful of people liked it and will miss it. I'm probably among the very few who will be doing just that when next weekend rolls around, after six months of enjoying Maury and Connie. At the very least, the show was afforded a last episode and went out with a strange whimper. Not that it was a very hard hitting show in the first place. It was always very silly and never took itself seriously. That is probably why I liked it so well. Actually on the series finale (of sorts) Connie decided to sing, after the best moments from the show were played. As expected the song was terrible and amusing at the same time. No blood loss through my ear canals was experienced, so all is well. As for viewing, I suppose I'll just find something else to watch on the weekends, as there is plenty to choose from. After all, I had to do the same with CNN Dot Com a few years back.
Oh, and the vacation with
cwtyger is going pretty well. I've been introducing him to various anime shows, and manga. Right now he's currently reading through all of my volumes of Bleachn pretty quickly. At the same time, I've been reading some of the manga he brought with him, including Death Note and Black Cat. All if it is very good, and I might have to start buying it, once I'm all caught up on Bleach. Anime, manga and video games... That has been most the vacation so far. There have also been the occasional trips around the city and a few to the suburbs. Other than seeing The Lion King here in Philly, I'm not sure what else this week has in store.
