Rrrrggg... I just want my medication. ;_;
Another day has passed and my prescription for Allegra still hasn't been approved. Yesterday morning I had to call the doctor's office and ask for pre-authorization for the medicine. Since they didn't have any forms or a number, I had to call my insurance company. After a bit I was able to get the number from them and gave it to the doctor's office. When I called the pharmacy yesterday afternoon, I was put on hold for nearly 20 minutes, only to learn that I still needed the authorization. I told them I called the doctor's office already, and they told me to call back tomorrow.
So this afternoon comes, and when I call, still no authorization. I once again called the insurance company and they told me to call the authorization number directly. I called and I got the message that my prescription was still in progress. It might be another 24 hours or so before it could possibly be ready. It's a pain to jump through hoops just for a bit of medicine, but I should be glad the difference isn't between life or death. If it was, I'd be in a lot of trouble right now. I hope I don't have to do this when it comes time to drop of my prescription for the nasal spray in a few days.
On the upside, it has finally stopped raining and the sun is out. I really did miss the sun after days of rain and cloudy skies.
Ah, and my new cellphone arrived. Once the battery charges itself, I should have lots of fun with that one. Definitely looks a lot hotter than my old phone. I hope it gets better reception and has a longer battery life than my other phone.
