The Post Christmas Post.
My Christmas Eve and actual Christmas were spent doing a lot of things. Hence the lack of a posting until now. I spent most of Christmas Eve cleaning and running a few errands for my mother. Around 9pm, I was too tired to do anything and ended up sleeping through TBL chat. I contemplated going when I woke up around 1am, but decided I needed the sleep more.
I slept until 8:30am on Christmas day. No one opened any presents and instead my mom, Lamonica and I went to the International House of Pancakes to eat. Once we finished, we had to drop a few gifts off for other people. When we got home we opened a few presents, then went back to wrapping presents for others. As far as Christmas stuff for others and cards go, this year everyone was busy, so everything was late or last minute. My father called and I talked to him for a short while before starting to wrap gifts. While wrapping things here and there, cwtyger called and spoke with my mom for a while. Then I spoke to CW, which was a pleasant surprise, especially after missing the TBL chat.
Once the presents were wrapped, it was time for everyone to start getting ready to head over to my Grandmother's house for dinner. Since we were late, I took Lamonica, the presents and the food and went ahead of my mother in my own car. By the time we got there everyone had finished eating, and no one really touched the food we brought. My mom arrived later and the rest of the night went well enough. It wasn't until Monday that we finished going through the gifts.
Like last year, I'll list what I got:
-Brother Multi-Function Center (MFC). It copies, scans, faxes and has a photo capture function
-NEC DVD RW drive
-Magnavox DVD player
-New dress boots
-$25 dollar gift card to Barns and Noble.
-EB Games gift card (not sure what the amount is)
-Target gift card (unsure of amount)
-American Express gift card (not sure of amount)
-$100 dollars cash
-Two anime t-shirts (Fullmetal Alchemist and Trigun)
-A throw pillow
-An iDog
-Shrek 2 on DVD
-A 20 inch gold chain (went half and half with my mother)
-Bath and shower gels
-Pajamas
-Small gold earrings
-A large dent on the side of my car from a stranger* (long story to be saved for another LJ entry)
I believe that covers it all. ^_^;
I also got to see The Chronicles of Narnia last night, and it was fairly enjoyable. I didn't enjoy everything, but it was good enough to leave me satisfied with the movie.
