Dollhouse-The Left Hand

Jan 11, 2010 14:53

Although I like the whole big conspiracy idea, I hope that they don't have too much involving the DC house in the future, I enjoy the LA focused episodes more. Few unanswered questions in this one, especially relating to Bennett. I really won't to know whether she was caught out at the end of this episode.

Obiously Rossum doesn't do enough psychological testing of its new employees. Yes Bennett is a genius but she's also perfectly calm about torturing a doll. Even if Topher doesn't really care about them as people at least he takes good care of them. Actually considerng how many slackers they've hired as handlers, not to mention the rapist, I think their entire recruitment process could do with an overhaul :(

Speaking of sadistic, 'Cindy' must be getting paid a lot in order to make her put up with faking the horrible life of the Senator's wife. Or else sh's sick of having to play second fiddle when really she's the one in control. Of course the other option is she really doesn't like Daniel, which I guess is kind of similar to the first option! But she's probably been waiting a long time for an opportunity like this

Wow Topher's just like a little kid in the limo. Although I get why Adele's losing patience with him, I can imagine she secretly wishing she could just put him in a seat and trap him there with a seatbelt. Possibly a gag as well...

Even after everyhing Bennett has been putting Echo through she still trusts her with the water. Unless she's just really desparate for a drink. It's fairly convenient for Bennett that the one person who really hurt her happens to be a doll, and seeing as she's a programmer, she can do all sorts of interesting things to Echo in return

I always love how calm and civilised Adele is when she's negotiating or trying to get something she wants, despite her appearance she's absolutly ruthless when dealing with outsiders

OMG Victor as Topher!! The actor was amazing, everything about him was Topher, not only the dialogue but the way he moved, the costuming (obviously) and even his voice. If anyone in this show should get an emmy, it should be him.

So cute, Topher and Bennett fanboying and fangirling over each other, each one all nervous about meeting the other. It seems a little strange that they haven't met before and that they don't know what the other looks like. I thought that Topher at least would have looked at her personnel file, whic I thought would have had a picture

Ok Bennett's arm being dead was a surprise. What I thought was that Summer Glau had injured her arm and they just needed to incorporate her sling into the costume. I didn't really think it was going to be explained too much

Wow, now Adele's becoming openly ruthless!!

I wonder if that was the first hint for Tpher, that Bennett liked about the reason Echo was unconscious?

Despite the fact that Bennett isn't an active (and it was cute that Topher tried to test that theory), I can see the similarities between her and Claire, both have serious chips on their shoulders

The houses seem fairly hostile towards each other (even though they give they appearance of cooperation) so I think Bennett would probably be breaking some sort of protocol in letting Topher use her phone, which at the same time gave him access to her computer, which didn't appear to be locked!

I think that Topher needs to turn an active into himself more often, he's having so much fun :P

Unless I've forgotten something I could have used a little more context for the memory of Bennett's that Echo experienced. At some point it seems that Caroline and Bennett were best friends, a building was destroyed and Caroline left Bennett trapped there? A why would have been nice. And Bennett didn't leave out the most important part of the memory, the dead arm at the end :|

Ok, Bennett's definitely crazy, smashing her head into mirrors :(

I get that Echo's becoming more self aware, but it seems to me that she has too much personality too quickly, even if her tone of speaking is fairly emotionless

Oh lovely, they're going to cut their gps tags out :( Guess it needs to be done though. However I don't know why on tv shows they never bury tags deeper so they're harder to cut out. Just beneath the skin makes it too easy

And of course that had to make the scene between Daniel and Echo all sexy :(

Aren't dollhouse operatives supposed to be subtle?? Drawing guns on the first person to come out of a bathroom isn't subtle! At least the tags were left where they could easily be found :P

I wondering how much of Bennett's fangirling is real and how much is so Topher doesn't notice what she's really trying to do. Have to admit thought that office scene where they were explaining their plan did get a bit awkward :(

The holograph of Daniel's brain seemed kind of basic, I'm not sure how Topher was supposed to be able to see all this stuff in it

They're running away from the people who have been messing with their brains and Echo feels the most appropriate outfit includes a sweater over her shoulders? Maybe she's subconsciously trying to take Cindy's place?

I guess it's because you know it's fake, but Cindy and Daniel's first meeting seemed incredibly scripted :(

Echo seemed to catch on very quickly that Daniel was extremely dangerous, I thought shewould have questioned him for a moment before running.

I wonder if Bennett has thought through how they're going to cover up the fact that the senator killed a girl?? Actually after Caroline is dead Bennett probably doesn't care what happens

Hey, Bennett actually does have some personality, albiet when she's angry

Topher needs to have a think about how he views the actives, I don't think its until Bennett pointed it out that he realised that he thinks of the dolls as more than just blanks

Yeah Bennett was close to perfect for Topher, except that she's crazy!

I feel just a little bit sorry for 'Cindy' she thought she still had control over Daniel but had no idea that Bennett had turned him into a sleeper assassin. She didn't know what she was walking into :(

Hee squished!

It didn't seem like Daniel was choking Cindy long enough to kill her :( I didn't really like Echo's way of convincing Daniel to leave

So did the DC house get to Daniel in time? They obviously had to improvise to account for Cindy being killed. And poor Madeline was hung out to dry :(

Loosing a doll can't be good thing...

And Madeline gets screwed over again :(
