was suppose to blog this long ago.... but i thought i still have to do it.

When one is pregnant, we must encourage, give advises, share ideals, give a helping hands, give seats...etc..

However, i noticed there are some people who would  make discouraging remakes to would-be -parents..
here are a few examples...
- take care on your own? get a maid lah

I know what you mean!I know they mean well, but just put across not in the right manner.

Especially the "dun expect to have free time for weekend and movies" - I think parenting brings a different set of joy and family time during weekend! :)

ya...you are right..they way they put it can be quite demoralising for the mum-to-be.

and you are very right...the different kind of joy with the addition in the family is quite something too!!

The content is right, but the delivery... needs to be improved (ok, i was abt to say "major overhaul"), but then I thought, I should be nice too:P

I am trying to recall back what I have heard before which I feel that could have been better deliver to the expecting parents. Something that would sounds more encouraging :)

Oh my! Those comments sure are familiar. Mostly, I'm told taking care of a baby is easy, that I shldn't be afraid. But then, this 'comment' came from gfs who are working full-time, got a full-time domestic helper at home, and even two mommies to help out in the day... no wonder they have it easy!

yes..can't be help. Everyone have a different lifes. It be nice to have someone to offer helps but not everyone are lucky. But taking care of the kids yourself has many plus too. :)
