I want to vote, I want to vote, I want suffrage...

Is this not the most brilliant thing you've ever seen in the history of ever? It's about a suffragist, Alice Paul:

She was part of the second generation of female suffragettes (you know, the folks who actually got women the right to vote?). Her methods were a lot more direct and aggressive than, say, Susan B. Anthony's -- she went right for the federal government, rather than going on a state-by-state basis. She and the rest of her new National Women's Party were the first to picket the White House (hence the scene where she's arrested), and she also went on a hunger strike (this led to her getting stuck in an insane asylum, which is why she's depicted on a hospital bed in a straitjacket).

Maybe I'll spend the summer learning about the suffrage movement.
