It's a song about some woman looking for a one-night stand. NOT APPROPRIATE

Kelsey: Andrew is talking about hanging out again, and he wanted to make certain that neither of us were uncomfortable about it
Casey: he's being really awkward about this whole thing now. how many times have you said it's cool or whatever?
Kelsey: This is the second time
Casey: okay, once more and it becomes weird
Kelsey: Yyyeah. Hmm. Andrew's hinting at possibly hanging out tonight.
Casey: it's up to you, I can pick up dinner for myself I need to
Kelsey: I think I'll do it, if only to get a break in the routine and see a different face
Casey: if he tries anything sneaky I'll break him in half
Kelsey: You probably could

So last night, instead of having the pleasant evening of cuddles and drawing that I'd imagined, I went and saw a movie with Andrew. I did have fun, though. We saw Penelope, which is a cute movie (that's it, nothing special, just cute), and hung out at Borders until it closed, after which we went home, me to Fairfax and him to Leesburg.

He's doing better than last I saw him. He has a new job, distributing fliers door to door for $10 and hour. He only gets paid $2 less than I do, but he gets exercise and sunshine. I'm jealous. However, he dropped out of school and has sort of run out of friends. He's visiting some friends in Pennsylvania and Boston this week, so that's something, at least.

He's in a weird apologetic mood lately. When he IM'd me yesterday afternoon, he started by apologizing if he was freaking Casey or I out. He apologized in the middle of Borders for insulting my religion in the middle of some conversation we apparently had at some point. And of course a few weeks ago he randomly apologized for being a jerk when we were dating.

I have absolutely no idea what to do.

I'm going out tonight to find myself a friend
I need a welcome smile and the grasp of an open hand
Gonna sit for hours in a small dark place, catch up with a long lost face
And talk about how long it's really been

music, movies, andrew
