I know it's long but please read it and tell me what you think!!!!!
For those of you who have been on my list for quite some time might remember the time I talked about Chad from Books-A-Million. If not, I believe I wrote about him way back in December. To bring everyone up to speed, I obviously have a crush on him. Ever since the first time he checked me out (in line that is, he was my cashier) I thought he was highly attractive!!! I remember going through him line and him smiling at me… couldn’t resist. So to the story…
I called Jeff State this morning to see which math classes I needed to take and the outcome was not what I wanted to hear, but they have a placement test that I can take. With finding out that they had a placement test I decided that I was going to get a book on math (since it’s been a year since I have been in school) and I was going to study for a few weeks and then take the placement test. I’ve been waiting to go to the book store all day long and as soon as I got off work, that is what I did.
With the location that I am in I am near two book stores; Barnes-N-Noble and Books-A-Million (which from now all shall be called BAM). I almost went to Barnes-N-Noble because it is closer but I wanted to go to BAM because I remembered Chad and I was really hoping that he was there. Finally I talked myself into going to BAM anyway because I might get lucky… AND I DID… HE WAS THERE!!!!
As soon as I saw him I got all nervous and knew that I wanted to talk to him, but had no idea what I was going to do. This is where I get lame… I waited for him to maybe come my way, and when he did, I asked where the bathroom was. I didn’t know what else to do; I had to talk to him somehow!
So, the bathroom is in this really spooky spot. You have to go through these exit doors into this area that looks like a stock room; it’s just really spooky! Because of the location or the bathroom, it gave me an idea of what else to say to him… I find him near the location of books that I am going to look through and I said
Me- “Do you thing you guys could have put the bathroom in a creepier spot?”
Chad- “I never though of that before, it is kind of creepy back there. But honey, I didn’t put it there.”
All of this being said in a smile. He even walked closer to me and leaned over the counter he was near. I don’t remember what all was said at this point but I asked him if he knew much about the section of books I was in and he was like;
”Yeah, what do I look like…”
And then I told him that he looked stupid, which was a joke and he knew it because he laughed and smiled at me. I ever got the girl behind the counter to laugh too. When she did that I told him that she agreed and she said;
“Keep me out of this one; you fight your own battles there!”
Well, I told him about my test for school and how I wanted to do better on my placement test and if he could make any recommendations. I think I stumped him on this one but the girl behind the counter, Erin, came to help out also!
(Trying to make a long story short) Well in the process of all of this, the three of us talked about school and classes and Chad even called me a party animal a few times. I was like “If you want to invite me to a party, I will go with you, but I never get to go to any.” The three of us stood around and talked for awhile. I told them about how I moved here in December and how I’ve been moving around a lot because of my dad’s work (he was watching me the WHOLE time I talked). I said that I was an army brat without the army but I wasn’t as shy as I used to be and this is when Chad said “At least it’s easier for you to make friends and you have a good personality.” Then I said something about myself being cute and we all laughed.
This is where things start to get a bit blurry because it’s been nearly an hour and 30 minutes since it happened but…He said something about getting girl's phone numbers all the time but they never answered when he called I told him that if I gave him my number that I would answer when he called! Erin asked what time it was, I was told her that I knew and she was like “Look at her, she is awesome!” After that I remember Chad holding out his hand so that he could shake mine and he told me that it was nice meeting me.
Within all this time that we were talking it was said a few times that they would see about hanging out with me and Chad kept saying that I knew where they worked so I should just come and find them. I know that they close every Thursday (both Chad and Erin). SO because I said I would, I gave them both my number… but Chad wasn’t standing there when I gave Erin my phone number. I gave her my number too because I didn’t exactly want her to know that I was flirting with him but I think it might have been obvious that I was!
While he was gone I stood there and talked to Erin for a bit more, gave her my number, and was off to find Chad. As I was walking towards the front, he started to walk in my direction. If I remember correctly he started smiling when he walked towards me. In this moment I said, "If you call me, I promise I will answer" and Chad said "I will call and see if you can hangout with us sometime."

He kept making eye contact with me and he was watching me when I talked, so I take these as good signs…. But I’m no good when it comes to guys. What to you think, is he interested? Also, I found out that he was 25. If I’m 19, am I too young for him? Do you think he will call? I’m so excited… God I hope he calls me, but I’m really scared he won’t. Sorry for such a long entry!
