Are you going to study in Thessaloniki?
If you have a homesickness moment, just think you're not the only one who's alone in the new city. Plus, you'll get to know someone soon at school. If you have a long weekend coming up, going back home or inviting a friend could be a great idea (I have no idea about distances between cities in Greece, but if they are relatively close, you might consider that).
My vacation was OK. I "escaped" from the hurricane that was going to hit Mexico (I left on a Friday, and on Sunday, empty planes from the capital of Mexico, the US, and Europe came to pick up people from the hotels). I got bored sometimes because I don't like to sunbathe, but I had fun doing a "social study" of my own with the different nationalities of people in the hotel. Here, I wrote about my experience there http://algiemoncrieff.livejournal.com/27190.html#cutid2 . I also read "Perfume: Story of a Murderer" by Patrick Süskind, which I liked it a lot.
Talk to you later!
