I believe this too. It would be nice to know the reason why, at least in this case know a little more clearly. Remembering some of the stuff we talked about, I like to think I maybe helped her through a difficult time in her life.
I ran SETI@Home for over 5 years on 3 separate computers, but I would be really concerned running it with an AMD processor unless you have extra fans installed in your machine. AMDs overheat consistently and the SETI application is also known for causing overheating...
I read that about AMD when I first switched from Intel so I installed extra fans in the front, rear and a huge on in the side vent of a case I specially picked out for the purpose of having extra fans. I also have a case cooler fan that can go in one of the slots above or below the DVD drive if necessary. My case moves more air than most furnaces :D
