THIS IS IT. The big one.
Does anybody remember how I applied to Americorps NCCC last summer? And then got waitlisted, because I'd applied sort of late?
Well.
I GOT IN.
That is, on the condition that my "legal status checks out" i.e. I'm not a convicted felon on the run from Hawaiian authorities or some such. There was an envelope from Americorps on the table when I got home from cleaning the hot tub at 12:30 Tuesday night. WAS NOT EXPECTING. Seriously, I thought I'd have to apply again!
Anyway, I've been assigned to the new campus in Vicksburg, Mississippi and according to the thing I sent me, I begin on 31 July. Which is a lame date for a few reasons, but WOOOOOOOOOOW.
Still rather in shock.
ETA: Did I mention that it will be for ten months? No? Well, it will.
