I've been working on a post about the topsy-turvy, ambivalent nature of my life these days, just generally--about not getting the Universal internship, about applying for things, about small weekend regrets and the nature being an adult, and about a full-time publishing job/2008 life reboot I applied for yesterday. It was a fun, sexy post, I assure you.
But then I got a phone call from the exec I interviewed with at Universal.
And I got it!
I start next week!
I'm going to LA!
Yay!

I am thrilled and terrified; after all, I am, for all intents and purposes, MOVING! Thankfully, I have a full week here to soak up my friends and allow my brain to stop buzzing; even better, I have a place to live when I get there--my friends Kendra, Paige, and Katie have been graciously holding their extra bedroom for me (though not for Sherlock, and so I may be scouting Craigslist for something comparable and cat-friendly). Otherwise...I don't know? Let the hijinks begin!
Also, I am determined not to let this meme beat me. I shall conquer it. I SHALL!

Someday, I'm going to get to Fringe. I watched the beginning, got bored/dismissed it as X-Files Lite, and gave up; then apparently it got great? And I love me some John Noble. And parallel universes. And--let's be honest--Pacey.
It's gonna happen, Fringe. I'm coming for you (...after FOUR MORE SEASONS of Buffy, oy).
