Mrs. Pommelhorse?

Ummm, I think I should go home now. It's 2:00! I have done quite a lot of work today, I'll have you know, and surely three more hours of idiom-book edit-entry is not the best use of my time. Don't they know I have research to do? Scripts to write? A brilliant future to prepare for? If only.

Saturday was my six-month anniversary with DC; I am ambivalent about this in ways that are too tedious to even discuss, so instead I made a list of things I like about being here, and called it good. On the list, among other things: sarita_m, Sherlock (yes, they have shelter kitties in California, but they wouldn't have had THIS [obviously superior] shelter kitty), being near New York, superior hot sandwiches, thunderstorms, the Smithsonian.

Otherwise....I don't know. What up, Monday?

Oh! Chuck renewal! With scary, fist-shake-y budget cuts, yes, but I will take an understaffed Chuck over no Chuck at all. I need my happy, funny spy-and-shoulders show more than you would think. Also, with this announcement, I have not lost a single show this spring; in fact, my summer plans now include Dollhouse and Better Off Ted. I'm very sorry for all the heartbroken fans of Life and Sarah Connor Chronicles out there, but other than that, I have to say: nice job, TV.

I am also crazy excited about tomorrow's airing of Glee, which I am somehow convinced is the show that's going to save us all (from what: tbd), and which I am also convinced I'm going to forget to record. La la la, though, that's what the internet's for, correct?

And, finally, Mindy Kaling has not given up on the gloriousness that is her shopping blog, and she continues to be (one of my) hero(ines); on the other hand, to me, the difference between a $180 t-shirt and a $106 t-shirt seems semantic. Ah, well. I would still sort of like to be her, only me.

fangirling, yay!, dc, work, chuck
