It's my first weekend home!  It feels so strange coming back to place I've never left for this long before, and knowing that life has gone on while I was away.  That may sound egocentric, but I've just never thought about Sun Prairie not being an everyday part of my life.  Oddly enough, I miss it.  Well, parts of it.  The familiarity of the city I've grown up in will be a life-long companion.  My family has been amazing.  My dad has been so caring and thoughtful.  My sister and I are actually getting along, and even my mother has stopped nagging and complaining.  I think they really did miss me.  I realize that's an understatement.  I know they missed me, and I missed them.  Nevertheless, I cannot wait to return.  College has been amazing.  Sam is my best friend on campus.  She's so thoughtful and caring, and we just clicked.  We can sit in a room, or at dinner, and just talk about absolutely nothing in particular, yet it carries all the meaning in the world.  There are many nice boys on campus as well, although none in particular have caught my eye.  I suppose I'm still shopping.  There's no rush though; I have my entire life to find that person I'm supposed to be with.  For now I'll keep myself busy by playing frisbee, climbing trees, stargazing, and making those late night sushi runs.  I think the highlight of my weekend will be a bubble bath in a BATHTUB!  Those shower stalls, nice as they are, are just so gosh darn small!  Kristin and I are having lunch tomorrow, and I promised Ryan I'd meet him sometime tomorrow or on Tuesday too.  I'm also just in time to catch the first orchestra concert of the year, which I'm really excited for.  I guess I'm just happy about this weekend in general.  Thus far it has been utterly fabulous, and I'm sure it will just keep gettign better these next few days.

Here's a few lines from "The General":

Take a shower, shine your shoes,
You've got no time to lose.
Young man you must be living,
Go now you are forgiven.
