I spoke too soon. I remembered
wherethefisjosh and came back to this place. So, I guess I'll write about things... what to write about.....
Sorry Jeff.
Mr. Darcy is the sexiest thing I have ever seen.
I was even in love with his character in the book. I preferred the movie, though.
A) Jane Austen can't write dialogue
"Jane Austen? Why I go so far as to say that any library is a good library that does not contain a volume by Jane Austen. Even if it contains no other book." - Samuel Clemens
B) There was more suppressed affection on both sides in the movie/romantic tension
C)
Which brings me back to my own Mr. Darcy, Sebastien Tilmans.
I don't know if you've ever been forced by nature to write sappy e-mails to a lover across the sea, but saying I miss you all the time gets rather repetetive. So, I decided to pull out the German.
Why? because in German you say: "Du fehlst mir." Which is more like someone is missing from you. I thought I was being very romantic and classy. I also inclue a picture with every e-mail. Usually something stupid to go along with whatever story I related. With this e-mail: missing puzzle pieces, and the following image done by Malte, my old roommate in Hamburg:
Anyways, this launches us into a myriad of foreign romantic phrases at the end of an e-mail. There's something non-commital, yet still satisfying about romance languages. Not being your native tongue makes it less meaningful, though arousing. So, today.. I received the most beautiful e-mail of all time... but that's for me to read.
