Kirk has a paper deadline today at 6pm so I am left to entertain myself for the day - which I'm not very good at. Friday was my last day of the second lab rotation so I don't have any lab work to do until Monday. So, I finally have the time to put up a few pics and a summary of our wedding. Expect mutiple posting from me today.
We got married at outdoors ceremony at dusk in July. The location was my grandparent's house near Bucyrus, Ohio, which is where they had their wedding reception and where my parents got married. We were blessed with the most gorgeous weather we could wish for. Friday was too hot and we awoke to rain on Sunday - but Saturday the twenty-third was glorious. Numerous friends and family came to help set up for the event: making luminaries, hanging lanterns, arranging flowers, and setting up tables and chairs. We then had a whirlwind of an early rehearsal dinner, official photographs and the ceremony all back to back. My grandfather surprised us with fireworks as we were walking down the isle at the end. Then there was no better way to end the evening but with a dessert reception. Kirk and I had a wonderful time and it was amazing to see all our friends and family. It was truly a beautiful evening.
This is a sampling of photos, but you can see a full set at www.kirkandellen.shutterfly.com if you wish.
