I had an awesome time.
Since I couldn't get a hold of any of my AG girls, I just went with Blake, Jackson and my mom to Blue Lake. It was pretty rockin. Blue Lake is in the BOONIES of Gresham. Blake fit right in. It was the most intense multi-cultural experience of my life. Actually it was mostly just mexicans. Ma famille!
We rented a paddle boat for an hour (actually we decided it was a "battle boat" since we were in it) and we... what else? Paddled around. Got a nice workout for my legs and then did some swimming even though we're not supposed to. Discovered this paddle boat was state of the art because of the ripples on the chair in the center fit the contours of our backs, decided to hijack the paddle boat, change the number to "61" and pretend it was ours. Raced some kids in a canoe (without their knowledge.) Needless to say we schooled them. They actually flipped over, too and the "Lake Patrol" (i.e. a 14-year-old hick boy in a speedboat) had to come out and help them.
Then we did some sick dives off Battle Boat #61. I was doing awesome backwards dives off the back, too. Then "Mr. I'ma-join-the-Army-when-I-graduate-highschool Lake Patrol" guy came over and was like "Hey. No swimming!" And I was like "oh, really?" And we stopped. We paddled in toward shore and Blake and I raced in to get some drinks to put in the cup holders on the boat. He won. And we almost got a stern talking-to by the official guy, but it turns out he just came over to talk to the little under-5 kids who aren't supposed to be in the lake. The poor 3 + 4 year olds.
Anywho, then the Lake Patrol dude was gone and Jackson goes: "man, I only got to dive once..." So we're like "man, go fast!!" so there he is in the back with Blake and I paddling, and he stands up and starts to take his shirt off and we're rushing him, so he gets his shirt off and totally half-jumps half-falls back in and lands flat on his back. ouch. He gets back in and says "well, you guys were rushing me..."
Well, it didn't take long: I'm tan. There's an accomplishment right there. idiot boys didn't put on sunscreen...
Tonight we're going to see "Mr. And Mrs. Smith". yeah man! I'm driving, too. Badass!!
