SPN Reverse Big Bang Art post: Convergence
First challenge of the year 2015!!
Reverse Big Bang Art for "Convergence"!
I have to apologize in advance it his is slightly messed up; the power in my and surrounding villages went out and I'm trying to do this with my laptop attached to my mobile phone so that I have internet access. Let's hope for the best! ♥
Main picture // Art Prompt
I actually didn't plan on drawing this prompt because I was working on something else. But then inspiration hit and I wanted something with a particular look. I had "witch king" in my mind and wanted to draw something that looked nice and would be relaxing (i.e. my typical, manga-esque style, letting myself draw Cas feminine etc.)
The pic above is what I ended up with and I must say I'm quite pleased with it :D
Headers
This was actually quite new for me. I set out to draw Dean's staff "baby" and Cas' halo, knowing full well that these kind of things aren't my forte. It took quite a long time but I'm immensely pleased anyway!
The only bad thing is that I didn't know that RBB banners shouldn't be more then 500px in height and 350px in width so it's not really a good banner. So I cropped another pic I did and made it into the header you saw above. Here again below! :D
Additional Art and Sketches
I loved the part with Dean baking bread and I knew that I had to illustrate it. So I did! ♥ This was the first proper pic I drew after quite a long art block, so I'm extra happy with it even though I could have added a background. A challenge for a later date.
Castiel with his halo, or without his halo actually. I wasn't quite sure about the design of his clothes beneath the cape thingy you saw on the art prompt pic. I'm making it up as I go it seems *lol*
I needed to draw an actual Dean and Cas touching each other pic. I think I was running out of steam while drawing it and since my power died on me and I'm writing this with my laptop connected to my mobile phone I will probably not get to work on it until the power's back. But they're touching and that's good, right?
I doodled a sketch of this into my notebook and liked it well enough to try to see how it looked as a proper pic. It's very simple but I think that's what makes it nice :D
I also did some sketches of the setting and this is another one I liked well enough to re-do it in SAI.

I really enjoyed this project and I hope I will draw some more! So I might add things to this post! Thanks to my wonderful author behindblue_eyes for bringing the picture to life and making me want to sit down in Dean's kitchen ♥
