Hardly any heavy rains this month. That means more flowers. : )
The tagar is covered with thousands of white flowers, the tip of each
of the five petals turning anti-clockwise. The flowers are so thick that
the shiny dark green leaves are barely visible. Then there are bunches
of those impossibly tiny four-petalled flowers, white again but they have
a soft fragrance, unlike the tagar which has none.
And there are roses in full bloom. Roses with their bright petals fully
uncurled in a carpe diem attitude. Full colour and rich perfume -
all here and now. Why worry whether they will remain tomorrow?
Also there is a bottle of Aai's son-chapha perfume that I have
appropriated. Son-chapha smells heady and its fragrance becomes
more intoxicating when it mingles with that of wet earth after a brief shower.
