JIBweek: Photo ops and autographs
I've been back since Tuesday and trying to get sucked to much into post con blues and the negativity that always seems to follow JIBcon (why people?!). I had an amazing time, hung with my friends, enjoyed all the actors, and as always, it was over way to soon. :(
All of us flying in on Tuesday to be at JIBland had a bit of a rough start because of the strikes on Rome airport. As I mentioned, my flight got cancelled the day before I was about to leave. Thankfully, I was able to get on another flight, but it left at 6:45 in the morning. I slept a total of 2,5 hours before getting up at 3 am to do final packing. Thankfully the flight went smoothly, and I was in Rome at 9am. Then the long waiting started. I was rooming with bflyw, and because I don't have a credit card, we were using hers. Which also ment I couldn't get into the room untill she got there. Her flight had been delayed though, and she was supposed to come in at 3 am that night. O.o Thankfully my friend Krista had gotten me into contact with a friend of hers who was gonna be a first time JIBconner, who was supposed to be there early as well, and I managed to meet up with her, so at least I wasn't waiting alone. We had to wait a bit to be able to get into her room, but once that was the case, I could temporarily store my luggage in her room. After a quick nap and a shower on her side, we went into the bar and basically stayed there till our other friends started arriving, which wasn't untill the evening hours. We ran into Daniela, the con organizer, and she got us our passes and other stuff early, which was great. :D
Anyway... at first I was planning on waiting up for bflyw to arrive so we could crash into our own room, but her flight kept getting delayed, and at 1 am (I had been up for 21 hours at that point), I was done. One of our other friends flight got delayed to the next day, and thankfully I could crash in her bed for one night. The next morning I finally got to meet up with bflyw (who had finally arrived at 7 am that morning!!), and things could finally really start. XD
I'm gonna start with sharing my photo ops.
I only had one at JIBland, which was with Brett Dalton, from Agents of Shield.
Very nice man. Very funny also. I really enjoyed his panels. :)
For JIBcon I had photo ops with Jensen, Jared and J2.
I'm always tongtied when I get face to face with Jensen. I don't know why. I did manage to say hi, and thank you, and I don't look terrified, so I count that a win. I also really like Jensen's smile here.
Haha, I have such a big smile on my face here. It's because Jared complimented my hair right before the picture.
When I went up to him, he grabbed my braid and said 'Love your hair! Damn gurl!' XD
Afdgh, look at Jared's flippy hair and Jensen's dopy smile. XD Love it.
Alright, next my drawings with autograps
Again, only one drawing for JIBland. Brett loved it, and actually took a picture of the drawing with his phone. It's funny, because JIBland is an even smaller convention then JIBcon, there's way more time for autographs. I can't really remember the convo, but apparently Brett is a pun master, which is proven by what he wrote under my drawing. :')
For JIBcon I had a few more drawings. Autographs were way more rushed though, so there was less time for conversation. And for some reason I had more trouble talking this year anyway, I don't know why. Anyway...
I made this drawing last year, but then Richard had to cancel, so I used it this year for autographs. He really enjoyed it. :')
Brianna is such a lovely woman. She loved the drawing. I can't really remember much (really, I need to start writing these things down!), but that I know for sure.
Alex is also such a delight. He was pretty impressed by the drawing, but sadly I didn't manage to say much to him. He did really like it though. :)
Jared and Jensen's autograph lines always go superfast, so I def. couldn't say much. Jared did ask me what season the quote was from (and I thankfully remembered it was from season 8), and I think they both liked it. :)
