The madness that is GISHWHES

Aug 20, 2013 23:38

As some of you might know, last week was GISHWHES (the Greatest International Scavenger Hunt the World Has Ever Seen) week. I decided to once again participate (because I needed the creative boost), and had a great time. I was in pretty much the same team as last year (with some awesome new additions), and we made some awesome things. Go team! :D

Now that GISHWHES is over, we're allowed to share the things we made for it. So here are my contributions of this year.

Item 108: Let’s see a flattering portrait painting of Star Trek’s George Takei or Felicia Day. Your materials will be sand. Your paintbrush will be your finger.

Item 114: Let’s see a portrait of Chris Hardwick from the Nerdist.com made from dried fruit.

Item 128: Write a haiku about waiting. Post it (no graffiti!) at a bus stop.

Item 138: Design the graphic cover of a romance novel: Misha and the Queen of England in a torrid embrace or otherwise adventurous situation. Give it a creative title.

Item 150: Let’s see a watercolor painting of one of your teammates leading the cavalry of a battle charge. The warriors, however, are not riding traditional horses, they are riding rocking horses. Give us a fitting landscape and weaponry as well.

Crazy pants. Hope ya'll liked it. :D

Also? Still planning on posting the rest of my JIBcon pictures. I'm taking so long with this... *hangs head in shame*
