By way of explanation... Over a week ago I booked some flights for Rotterdam with Ebookers. Yesterday I received a confirmation email from them to which I replied. I should have got this last Tuesday, but didn't because of a host of technical stuff (partly my fault, partly theirs). I got a phone call telling me because I didn't send an email back (which I had been told was simply a formality to confirm my address to send out the tickets), the flights were not booked. We could have the same flights, but for a whacking 50 squids extraish per person. Ouchie. Given that by then Easyjet was twice that price, and noone else had anything available, we had to go ahead. This could be my first personal law suit. I feel misrepresentation of the consumer coming on.
On the upside, I have just won someone else's law suit, worth far more cashola than mine. It was in Cardiff, so they put me up in a rather lovely hotel, and paid for a slap up meal. With caramelised scallops and sauteed asparagus. And red deer venison napped with juniper and chocolate sauce. *drool* (apologies to you numerous vegetarians, but I figure I hunt for scallops myself, and well, venison is just too good to miss...) Top that off with white chocolate, strawberry and vanilla creme brulle with pistachio tuile biscuits and a very nice glass of merlot, and there was one happy Sarah last night... Until I had to go to bed, on my own, in a room with too many gold and green diamonds in the decor. *shudder*...
Even better, this weekend is Ultraviolet in Rotterdam, with Uwe and
thistotalage djing. We're taking
cyberpvcfairy with us as well, so a fab time is guaranteed. To top it all off, it will be our three year anniversary! (I know I've said it before, but hey, I'm really happy about it!)
I've just bought Best of Blur. I'm so perky right now. Yay!
