*sigh*
A friend of mine died last month. I hadn't written about it because I just couldn't figure out what to say.
I still don't know, honestly.
And now...
My cousin Celina was just diagnosed with liver and lung cancer. This is the same cousin who had breast cancer a few years ago.
She's also got some fluid in her lungs so she's at the local hospital she went to to get her cough checked out. As soon as they release her, they will be draining her lungs and trying to get a biopsy sample or two tomorrow, she's supposed to go to MD Anderson for treatment.
I am really hoping that when she can finally get to the specialists the prognosis will be less dire. So I hope that's soon.
She used to be my baby. She's about 7 years younger than me and I babysat her a lot. Up until I left for college she called me 'mom'. She has two kids.
I'm having a hard enough time dealing with this, I can't even imagine how my aunt and uncle are feeling right now. Her dad just got notice that he's cancer-free after being in treatment for prostate cancer for a while. Their second child died of brain cancer when we were teenagers. He was only 3 months younger than me.
This just sucks so much.
