Mom has been in the hospital for longer than I believe she'd anticipated. The doctors haven't liked the look of her for the past two nights, and so have kept her. Quite frankly, I'm relieved. I don't care what people say about plastic surgery; at 79 it's no joke.
I just got off the phone with my dad. He wants me to come see her tomorrow morning, before Zaubermaus' gymnastics class. The hospital is about half an hour away but that's ok. (And no, I haven't been to see her yet.) The doctors are saying she's not producing white corpuscles. Her fever is up, and her blood pressure has remained lower than I guess they would like (although we women of this family have always had low BP.) On the other hand, Dad reports that she's been sleeping better--the whole night through, last night, which is rare for her even at home--and she's getting in and out of bed almost all by herself, which she wasn't able to do, at all, at first.
