Running Around Like a Maniac
First off, parent/teacher conference went off beautifully last night. Twinkie the Kid has made major strides since last year. She has really relaxed about school and her peers. Although her assessment scores show just a touch of 'summer brain,' she is still kicking ass in both math and reading over the whole district. No reports (knock on wood) of physical altercations with other kids. Both her regular class teacher and her gifted teacher are young, easy-going, and tease quite a bit.
Secondly--RenFair set-up is Friday night. I am steering our local SCA branch's involvement with RenFair this fall, and it's just a bit nerve-wracking. I so badly want to get things right. Luckily, there are some stellar people who are in charge of very important divisions whom I can trust absolutely. It's just that we're trying a couple of new things this time and I'm kind of biting my fingernails about it.
Uh, and it's been raining all week.
Then there is The Concern that I don't know if I can talk about here yet that has got me Wound the Fuck Up 24/7.
Must get sleep tonight.
