[The image flickers for a moment as he fiddles with the machine, before pulling back and coming fully into view. The man is clearly Patera Silk, although somewhat older-- his hair mostly white, his face careworn. Several long cuts, clearly recent though already beginning to heal, are on his cheeks and his arms. He seems to be unaware that he's broadcasting, speaking mostly to himself.]
It's snowing; it's too cold to be Green, but there are certainly no cities like this on Blue. Or if they are, they must be far from the lands I have seen... And yet this does not look like the cities of the Neighbors... If I did not know better I would think myself still aboard the Whorl, but there are no skylands above me... And this isn't quite the same as Viron... though more like it than Trivigaunte, or any city I've seen...
Monitor? Monitor..? Hello?
[A hand mostly obscures the camera as he taps at the screen; he is frowning intently, when his face comes back into view.]
Hello? Can you hear me? I'm looking for someone-- for Patera Silk. Calde Silk, perhaps I should say-- hello?
[ooc: okay, so. HIS CANON IS INSANE. When Silk is middle-aged, having been Calde and been deposed after sending most people out of the giant generational ship that is his Whorl, his wife dies and he tries to kill himself. At the same moment, a man named Horn, who a) used to be a student of Silk's, and b) is on a mission to find Silk and bring him to the colony-planet called Blue, is dying. A supernatural alien comes to help Horn, and essentially takes the living spirit out the dying body, and puts it into a body whose "spirit is dying." SO. Horn wakes up bleeding and confused and somehow doesn't really acknowledge/notice that his body is Patera Silk's, even though he knows it's not his, and continues his search. AND THAT IS MY CANON. HELL YEAH. And one last bit-- even though he thinks he's Horn (and is Horn; has all Horn's knowledge and memories and so forth,) he is also still Silk, and will occasionally refer to some experience that Silk had as his own. So the City is slightly familiar to him (since Silk knows it!) but only remotely. On the other hand he's used to round planets with normal skies...? OKAY. YEAH.]
