On a more personal level

Bible study really creeps me out. A bunch of people sitting in a circle talking about how God has affected their lives. Each one adding on to the next about what God has to say and how to take that into context within the day-to-day. I can't do that. I can't really fathom that either. I guess I find it more personally rewarding to do more ( Read more... )

God I hate conservatives.

Probably a part of the reason I need to go to church every sunday...

My dad spoke at a conference where he said that the position of the church needed to be humble and acknowledge that we have flaws but through our religion we work toward our betterment. The other guy speaking disagreed and said we need to be the shining beacon and be an example to everyone else who is screwing up. A week later the other guy got arrested for narcotics and soliciting a homosexual prostitute. Oops, self-righteousness.

Dude, don't sweat it. A person's relationship with God is a very personal thing, and no one can tell you you're practicing either in a good fashion or a poor fashion if, in your heart, you know that you feel something deeper than yourself. Don't question it.
