Weary.
First day back to work after the holidays. I am so very tired. BUT! Despite working until 6:15 this evening, trying to chip away at some of the lab stuff I am woefully behind on, I still did my hour of walking. Look at me go.

January 4: Alabama Slammer
1 oz sloe gin
1/2 oz Southern Comfort
Orange juice to fill
1/4 oz creme de banana
Combine the sloe gin, Southern Comfort, and orange juice in a highball glass filled with ice. Roll to blend (dump the contents into a cocktail mixer, then back into the glass). Float the creme de banana on top.
This marks part 1 of the 50 states series, and also my first serious experiment with sloe gin. It is terrifically sticky.
