Wise words for leaders.
Sitting in my Boss's office after a problem at work he puts a frog infront of me on his desk and tells me, "eat the frog". Not quite understanding this analogy he repeats "Part of being a leader is to eat the frog." *Tilting my head like the foolish young fox I know I still am in many ways he sighs and explains: "Problems are going to come up the chain and land on your desk, its your responsibility to find solutions and solve them. Often, like a frog these problems when they arrive will be small, and easy to swallow..going with the analogy. If you don't tend to the problem right away and solve it, like a frog it will grow bigger and bigger, till its now a bull frog staring you in the face...thats alot more frog to eat and force down now than it was when it first came up, and thus finding a solution to the problem will prove just as more difficult."
"So solve problems that come up sooner rather than later."
