it's been a little while, huh. to anyone still using lj, i just wanted to do a little life & fandom update, so you know where to find me.
life: i moved to LA a couple years ago (the florida thing didn't last) and i made some fandom friends that cross over into real life, and that's pretty awesome. i still do robot things and i try to do video things now and i write every single day even if i don't post the results very often. i do a bunch of fandom things irl now, which used to terrify me. i've been to spn cons and more concerts than i can count and i've done gishwhes and participated in events and met up with so many people and it's great.
fandom: i'm big into supernatural and pentatonix and youtubers right now, but of course i'll always hold my past fandoms dear. if you're looking for me online, you can find me mostly on twitter and tumblr these days, and surely you know where to find my fic (archiveofourown). i have a wattpad account that i use to read but i don't post there because the platform horrifies me a little bit (so if you spot me there, yes, that is me, but look me up elsewhere). consistent branding: i'm still silentdescant everywhere that matters.
i had a moment yesterday where i had a hard time believing i've been active in fandom for just over a decade now. i created this lj in 2006 so i could read and post fanfic, and i made friends back then that i still have now. that's just wild. thanks for sticking with me, those of you who have. i've definitely grown up. and now i'm all sentimental, aww. i do miss this platform sometimes, but i gotta go where the community is, and right now that's tumblr. so find me there. love you.
ETA 10/2: I said I wasn't posting to wattpad. This has changed. Goddammit. A friend convinced me to start using it for real, and now all my PTX fic is crossposted there, because that's where the fandom is. It's still horrible in many ways, but at least people are finding my fic now. :)
