Back in the days when Jews practiced ritual sacrifices, there was a particular ceremony on Yom Kippur (The day of Attonement) that struck me as...interesting.
Two male goats were lead to the altar. One was killed and burned, as per tradition.
The high-priest dude then would place his hands on the other goat, confessing all the sins of Israel and essentially placing them on this goat.
Said goat was then lead into the wilderness and left to die.
A scapegoat, if you will.
Found it rather interesting...
In other news, US Airways has taken the liberty of bumping my flight times around, much to my protest.
I guess when you book yourself one of the El Cheapo flights, though, they dont leave you much room to whine when you're jostled about.
So.
I meant to leave Denver late Friday eve/ early Saturday morn so I could get there on Saturday morning.
Hah.
I now leave 7:00am Friday morning.
Interesting.
To make matters more interesting; I had meant to come home Sunday evening.
"Oh, sorry, we only have a spot on Monday morning."
"And you've already charged me for these tickets."
"Yeah."
"And they're not refundable."
"No, sorry."
"What time Monday morning?"
"9:10am."
Meh.
Another one-in-the-morning bitch session.
Apologies.
