Just thought I'd post a quick between-classes update. I had a Concepts of Fitness test this morning (easy) and my World Politics test is coming up in an hour and a half.

I made a frickin A- on my first ENGL2100H paper...it was a comparison of narrators in J.S. Le Fanu and Poe. I thought I did a really good job and was pissed off I didn't make an A+. I know that in college they're the same grade, but I was still disappointed. Apparently the main thing preventing me from getting an A+ was my incorrect pronoun usage...I said "he" to describe "reader," when I should have used "he or she." ::rolls eyes::

Tragically, my eyeliner became infected with some sort of bacteria and I now have a nasty little bump beside my left eye. I threw away the eyeliner, and I'm too cheap to go out and buy more, so even after the bump goes down I won't be able to wear it. This is good news because I won't wear my contacts without eyeliner (I hate the way my eyes look without it), so I won't be tempted to go out and repurchase my contacts for the rest of the year...I only have one pair left and I need to go get another six-month supply, but they're $70 and I don't want to spend that much money right now. I'm thinking about just wearing my contacts in the spring/summer and my glasses in the winter. Glasses are so damn wretched. They're hard to kiss in.

In other news, I realized that five years of Blood-Horses is way too many. I'm running out of room. I'm currently going through all the old issues and deciding which ones I want to keep and which ones I don't. I put 43 up on eBay last night (four lots of ~10) for $.99...I don't even care how much they go for, I just want to get rid of them. It's taking forever because I have to go through each individual issue and check to make sure none of my favorite horses are in it. I'm kind of hopeful that I'll actually make some money off of them if I put up a few 'boutique' lots...I've got a group of Smarty Jones ones to sell and some Lost in the Fogs. Hopefully, they'll go for a semi-decent price.

Money-wise, le sigh, I may not be able to spring for that iPod Touch I want so badly. Bills for the rest of the year are going to be insane, particularly with Christmas coming up. I have to take my car in next month to get the tires rotated/oil changed/whatever else has to be done, and that always costs quite a bit. I'm thinking about finding out if my school's dentistry program has free/discounted hygienist work or something, because $250/year for the dentist is just way too much.
