I tried to enlist. Medically ineligible.

Annapolis was at the top of my list of schools back when I graduated high school.

the point is - we have a professional army. our military are engaged in active defense of the Nation, not in a bar brawl. so stop pushing emotional buttons, this is infantile.

Then it's a non-functional principle, because societies must be able to choose war upon occasion or they will not be able to survive in competition against other societies who have that option. A society governed by your principle would have to be either a military dictatorship/junta, a democratic timocracy like Heinlein's Federation from Starship Troopers, or vulnerable to every other society which chose wiser principles of debate.
