Warped Tour was amazing! It wasn’t nearly as hot as I thought it’d be, but hot nonetheless. A7X stole the show in my opinion because they actually put on a show and didn’t just perform like all the other bands. They had fog machines and wicked cool music during their opening and the overall stage presence the band had was just extraordinary, reminded me of the Billy Idol show I went to in Tucson. I loved it! Alissa and myself both happened to get their autographs, too, on a small sticker we had, haha. They were real cool guys tho, all talked to you and shook your hand, real class act. One of the guitarist actually commented on my shirt, too, which I thought was real cool (I was wearing my AWK is KING shirt.)
All in all the whole day was simply awesome. Opiate for the Masses was first. Then The Bled. Who said they had a new song/cd coming out that was so awesome it was going to turn all the sweat into chicken noodle soup! Haha. Then Atreyu got on and during their cover of Bon Jovi, they said in order to make this place a whole lot cooler, what we needed to do was take off our shirts and swing them in the air like a fucking helicopter, ROFLMAO! Offspring kicked some ass, I was happy to hear them do a lot of their older stuff rather than their newer stuff.
We left early though, so we could go eat before everyone else rushed to eat. I missed My Chemical Romance, not that big of a deal, already saw them rock out last EdgeFest. Also missed The Transplants, which I was looking forward too, but didn’t want to wait - I only wanted to see Travis go off on the drums, but its all good. We went to my favorite restaurant in the whole wide world - Olive Garden! Got some SALAD!!! YAY!! And about a hundred glasses of sprite and dr pepper. After that, we all went home and went to sleep.
Next day Melanoma, Sommer and I all hung out we went to Hot Topic and got some $50 boots on clearance for $13, and some stuff for Alissa. Then we met Alissa and Frank and Patrick at my house and went out for dinner before War of the Worlds. We went to Chewy’s and I got eight baby shrimp, haha. On the way back, Chris, Frank, and Patrick went with Alissa and I drove with Melanoma.
Well - we got in a car accident. It was on the off ramp for Scottsdale rd from the 101 near the theatre. It happened to fast. I was really surprised we hit them. We were all wearing our seatbelts and everyone is okay, but it just goes to show how fast things can change. Don’t take things for granted in your life, you’ll regret it. Needless to say, she didn’t see the movie. I stayed there until her parents and the cops came and left. I was there for her, hugged her and everything. I felt so helpless cause there was nothing I could do but just be there, I hate that feeling.
The movie was good other than the inevitable corny lines every now and then. The fact I got in a car accident and saw a movie about aliens coming and killing people really shot me back to reality on how precious life is. I was in a state of mind the whole night I couldn’t get out of. It all good tho.
Today I laughed so hard. There was a moment where Sara, Alissa, myself, Chris Hanse, and Eric were on all the jungle jim and we laughed for like five minutes straight about different things. I loved it so much. It felt so good to laugh so hard - I can never laugh hard, I always am the person making the other people laugh hard, ya know. Anyways, im running out of things to say, and this is a dull entry, but here it is. I promise I’ll make my next one better.
