Living it up
So we moved in officially! With much much much help from my mom, Alan and Christine. They put together the 9 (!) things from Ikea and Target so Colin and I didn't have to have anxiety attacks. It didn't rain until the last 2 minutes of moving things and as of Sunday night we pretty much had all the main areas good to go. Lindsey and Layne stopped in for a bit during the chaos and helped by giving me a much needed break from organizing. I still need to organize and situate my craft/sew/general creativity center and we have nothing on the walls quite yet, but it has only been 3 days.
And how's this for a good omen for me: figured out after we signed the lease that the tree right outside one of our living room windows is a big cherry blossom tree! I get to stare out my window and watch the tree blossom and be gorgeous and stand under it while the wind blows around all the tiny petals. I haven't had that since I was in Bellingham and those cherry blossoms outside my porch there saved me from insanity some days.
Back to the salt mines again...
