Today, I have been very Canadian. Let me tell you why.

I rediscovered my favourite sitcom of all time on youtube, Made in Canada, which is a satire on the Canadian television industry and which is full of all the plotting and backstabbing and heartless office sex that I adore. Also, Richard Strong as played by Rick Mercer may well have been my very first fictional sociopath love. An illustrious post to occupy, indeed.

I keep getting sucked deeper into the Canadian national election. It's... interesting. I'm taking the NDP seriously. I'm following polls compulsively and laughing in an informed way at all of the election-themed memes floating around. Like this. And this.

I'm listening to the Canucks game on the radio, biting my nails and shouting. I'm thinking about rushing down to a pub in order to catch the third period. Although I'm not sure whether I can take that much stress. I AM SKIPPING YOGA FOR THE GAME. DON'T FUCK THIS UP FOR ME, VANCOUVER.

At least Luongo is being functional in this game, so far. This series should not have made it to Game fucking Seven.

hockey, television, nationalism ftw?, politics (sort of)
