(no subject)
Had a lovely birthday-type day, yesterday, and am about to dash out the door in pursuit of some things that need to be done before the weekend takes hold. Like get my car key replaced so that I can move said car. But, first, to prove that I am not nearly as shallow as I pretend...
BOYFRIEND: So, if someone asked, how would you describe me?
ME: And today's fit of low self-esteem is brought to you by...
BOYFRIEND: No, really.
ME (thinking fast): We laugh a lot, so funny, I suppose. And way too adorable for your own good. And you have a decent sized brain when you feel like it.
BOYFRIEND: ...
ME: What? I was actually nice for once!
BOYFRIEND: Don't you wish I was all deep and brooding and sexy?
At which point I had to take him aside and gently explain that deep and brooding and sexy is only interesting in fiction, and that when presented with deep and brooding and sexy in real life, I usually want to smack a bitch within about five minutes.
When I say this is my new favourite film pretty much ever, I'm not sure you understand the magnitude of the claim. (I really wanted to find one of the bits with Michael Sheen, but they aren't on youtube.)

It's been stuck in my head for about three months, so it should be stuck in yours, too!
