Meme.

I figured I'd combine some memes into one big post. If you have one you'd like to see me do, just let me know and I'll add them. :)

Numbers Meme.

From blue_eyesgirl:

1. Unohana Retsu
2. Ise Nanao
3. Ukitake Jyuushirou
4. Zaraki Kenpachi
5. Abarai Renji
6. Kurotsuchi Nemu
7. Kyouraku Shunsui
8. Kurotsuchi Mayuri
9. Matsumoto Rangiku
10. Adult!Kusajishi Yachiru
11. Kuchiki Byakuya
12. Ichimaru Gin

1. Have you ever read a Nemu/Byakuya fic? Do you want to?

I have never seen it, but would try anything. So, yeah, go ahead. I think that it'd be one quiet relationship, though. : P

2. Do you think Zaraki is hot? How hot?

Oh yes. Very hot. So hot that I'd do him in an instance. It's the gorgeous body, the scars, and the smirking, yo! That man stripping is just...glorious. *points at icon*

3. What would happen if Gin got Mayuri pregnant?

Well, with all the experimenting Mayuri has done on himself, I could definitely see the mpreg happening. (Though, please, for the love of God, people, don't get ideas.) That would be one creepy ass baby, though...

4. Can you recall any fics about Matsumoto?

Oh, countless. I've been reading a lot of Matsumoto/Hitsugaya fic lately and even a Matsumoto/Byakuya one. Or, well, a couple of chapters of that one. Someone had said how awesome it was, but it didn't do anything for me. *sigh*

5. Would Nanao and Nemu make a good couple?

Eeeh, possibly? They have similar personalities, so I doubt they'd have trouble getting along, it just sounds like a very...boring relationship.

6. Renji/Matsumoto or Renji/Yachiru? Why?

Renji/Matsumoto, since they have a semi-friendship thing going on, where Renji and Yachiru would just fight over Byakuya. Though, really, both women are way too much for Renji to handle. *snicker*

7. What would happen if Shunsui walked in on Nanao and Gin having sex?

Oh boy. Instant trouble. I'd say with Shunsui's protective streak regarding Nanao - be it paternal or romantic - we'd be saying 'Byebye' to Gin for once.

8. Make up a summary for a Ukitake/Yachiru fic.

"As a kid she'd always stopped by at his division to pick up candy. Now she's grown, the candy she wants to pick up is of a whole different kind."

9. Is there any such thing as Unohana/Mayuri fluff?

There is! ^^ People ship them, actually. While I'm not a huge fan of Mayuri fluff - he's not a fluffy kind of guy, you know - this is one of the few pairings I can actually see him in. Unohana could probably handle him better than most.

10. Suggest a title for a Shunsui/Gin hurt/comfort fic.

So, ehm, Shunsui is feeling bad for putting Gin in the hospital, I suppose? Ehm, title...

'Empty Apologies'

11. What kind of plot would you use if you wanted Zaraki to deflower Unohana?

While I ship Zaraki/Unohana, I doubt she still needs deflowering. Really. So no realistic plot could ever make this happen. Ever.

12. Does anyone on your friends list read Ukitake het?

I'm sure one of them does. Ukitake is pretty much shipped with anything that has a pulse.

13. Does anyone on your friends list write or draw Byakuya?

Oh yes. Plenty of them do. The writing, at least. I'm sure the pictures just slipped under the radar for me, but there are communities full of Byakuya stuff. :)

14. Would anyone on your friends list write Nanao/Zaraki/Renji?

Actually, that's one of the few pairings - or threesomes, in this case - that I haven't seen yet. I'm working hard on the Nanao/Zaraki front, but with Renji? Haven't seen it yet. So, no.

15. What might Yachiru scream at a moment of great passion?

*feels really dirty for this* "Ken-chan!"

16. If you wrote a Song-fic about Mayuri, what song would you choose?

God, I'm terrible at these song questions. Just choose the creepiest song imaginable. That might get close.

17. If you wrote a Unohana/Nemu/Gin fic, what would the warning be?

Ehm, Crack!Pairing?

18. What might be a good pick up line for Yachiru to use on Nanao?

"My hair is the colour of your captain's haori. Want to find out what else we have in common?"

19. When was the last time you read a fic about BYakuya?

Two days ago. It was fun and sexy, but I can't remember the title. :(

20. What is Nemu's super secret kink?

Actually, I'd say that with the hand Mayuri had in building her, she'd probably have every kink imaginable. Plus, she'd probably share all of them in that clinically absent way she has. XD

21. Would Byakuya shag Matsumoto? Drunk or sober?

She doesn't seem his type, but then again she is Matsumoto Rangiku. I have yet to see a credible fic about these two, though, so somehow she'd have to get Byakuya drunk. Which is difficult enough on its own. XD

22. If Ukitake and Shunsui get together, who tops?

OTPs always get together, no matter what. XD Ehm, mostly Shunsui, but I'd imagine they'd switch. So many years of the same thing gets boring, after all.

23. "(Unohana) and (Shunsui) are in a happy relationship until (Shunsui) runs off with (Zaraki). (Unohana), brokenhearted, has a hot one-night stand with (Byakuya) and a brief unhappy affair with (Gin), then follows the wise advice of (Renji) and finds true love with (Ukitake). "

Unohana/Shunsui I could see. Unohana/Ukitake I could see. However, the rest of it is utter crazy. Shunsui may have some interest in kinky animal sex with Kenpachi, but Renji being wise, Unohana having affairs with Gin, and Byakuya doing one-night stands is just...not happening.

24. How would you feel if Shunsui/Mayuri was canon?

Deeply disturbed...

WIP Meme.

This is one I promised to do ages ago but never got around to. I don't have the exact wording for it, but it's the one where you show an odd amount of WIPs. (Or parts of them, anyway.) These are some examples of the WIPs I'm currently working on, including some of the prompt fics I still owe people. XD

Title: -
Summary: The 11th Division has long been a messy one, but Yamamoto has finally decided to do something about. Enter Ise Nanao, who has turned paperwork into an artform. However, can she actually accomplish something when Zaraki Kenpachi is its captain? (Zaraki Kenpachi/Ise Nanao. Crack!pairing! XD)
Words: 2381

The room she’d entered had no doubt originally been designed for Yachiru, as small knee-height cupboards clung to most of the walls. One window hid behind the bright green cover of curtains, curtains which were littered with funny shapes and objects that Nanao didn’t recognize. Even a giant stuffed toy had been pushed into a corner. However, she could see instantly that it had been turned into something entirely different ages ago.

In the centre stood a large, wooden tub, filled to the brink with steaming water and a very naked captain of the 11th. His hair, normally spiked upwards in an impressive fashion, now hung down his neck in soaked strands, dripping moisture. She could see scars everywhere, sloping down his chest in a gruesome fashion and disappearing behind the edge of the tub. Though she knew of his tendency to walk around half-naked, she’d never seen them quite so up close and personal.

With a soft shriek Nanao turned around, dropping her book with a clatter. Her hands balled into fists.

“Zaraki-taichou!”

“What?” the man drawled from behind her, the sound of splashing alerting her to his moving around in the tub. “I thought ya wanted to see me?”

“I did!” Nanao stuttered. “However, this- this is most inappropriate! ”

~

“You are tiny,” he murmured, chuckling as he leaned in further. Nanao bristled.

“Actually, Zaraki-taichou, I am of average height.”

“Ya look tiny to me.”

Nanao sighed. “That is because you are tall, Zaraki-taichou.”

The large man moved slightly, bells whistling in the wind, before returning to his slightly bent over pose. Nanao stood staring at the floor, but could feel his reiatsu baring down on her. The man had a serious problem with personal space, she’d noticed, and the way his hair cast shadows over her face was most unnerving.

“Do ya have to Zaraki-taichou me every sentence? It gets fuckin’ annoying.”

She looked up, arms crossed, but didn’t move. “No, I do not. Sir.”

Summary: A new threat has attacked Soul Society and this time they might be in over their heads. (Parody.)
Words: 1681

Rolling her eyes, Nanao opened her mouth to say something when a powerful energy spike caused the both of them to sit up in alarm. The air tingled, abuzz with the constant current of reiatsu that pounded in their ears. They looked at each other, mouths agape and faces worried, before quickly getting to their feet.

“Zaraki-taichou?” Matsumoto whispered, hoping beyond hope that it was just the familiar energy of their resident barbarian, but Nanao shook her head.

“Kurotsuchi?”

“No,” Nanao finally spoke, her hand twitching as it reached for the zanpakutou hidden in her sleeve. Her tone of voice made Matsumoto grab for hers as well, but it was the look in Nanao’s eyes that truly terrified her. The vice-captain’s voice shook as she continued, sending shivers down Matsumoto’s back. “No, it’s one of them”

Title: Of Naïve Innocence And Frightening Brawn (Building Bridges Series.)
Summary: As part of an inter-division exchange, vice-captains are being swapped around for a couple of months. Hinamori Momo finds herself in the brutal 11th division.
Words: 590

There was a silence in the air that terrified her. Like the quiet before the storm, it seemed to linger like a constant warning of things to come. Things shouldn’t be that quiet.

Facing the cracked surface of an all too big door, she felt her muscles twitch and the zanpakutou resting against her hip quiver gently. A comforting, necessary sensation she cherished, as it reminded her that she wasn’t alone. Though that, in itself, had become a familiar feeling. Being alone, left behind, had become an integral part of who she was and deep down, whenever her guard was down and memories came flooding back, she still wished her captain could come back to fill the void he’d left behind.

Title: Of Quiet Intelligence And Utter Madness (Building Bridges Series.)
Summary: As part of an inter-division exchange, vice-captains are being swapped around for a couple of months. Ise Nanao finds herself dealing with the eccentric captain of the 12th and realizes that Kyouraku-taichou really isn't so bad.
Words: 865

“Nemu,” a voice drawled, curling in her stomach much like she imagined fear would, “Nemu, go and get me the latest report from the 10th Division. I’m ready to input their data.”

Twitching at the name that wasn’t hers - and thank God for that - Nanao rose calmly and tried not to let her unease shine through as she raised her voice slightly, making sure it drifted above the rumbling around her.

“I’m afraid I’m not familiar with the filing habits of the 12th, Kurotsuchi-taichou. Where might I find such reports? I’d be more than happy to fetch it for you.” Her hands clasped around her notebook - today’s page filled with short notes on what seemed to aggravate Kurotsuchi Mayuri most, but strangely empty apart from that - holding on to what she knew, even though the lack of schedule and otherwise necessary information for a well-planned day made her rather uneasy. Regardless of that, Nanao hadn’t had such a quiet day in years, Kurotsuchi much more punctual and self-reliant than her captain would ever be.

Though they’d gone through much the same situation countless times that day, Kurotsuchi seemed rather surprised to hear a voice other than his daughter’s - though similarly demure - talking back at him. His yellow eyes shone in the flickering light of the screen, threatening to unleash some more of his rather effective glaring. Nanao had never expected to receive such loathing for merely existing. For all the violence Nemu seemed to suffer at her father’s hand, and all of Seireitei knew plenty about that particular habit of his, it did look like he regretted not having her there, if only because even with her flaws, she did a marginally better job than Nanao knew she could ever do. She’d never been much of a deranged scientist, after all.

“Next chamber,” the captain murmured icily, turning back to stare at the numbers in front of him. Nanao swallowed uncomfortably. “I do hope you can manage to find it, though with Kyouraku as your captain, I’m amazed your Division gets anything done at all.”

Title: Boredom.
Summary: Kenpachi is bored and looking for someone to fight, so Yachiru tries to help him out. Strangely enough, no one seems very interested. (Humor.)
Words: 4041

“Will you fight Ken-chan?”

There were very few things Kuchiki Byakuya ever found truly daunting. Attacked by ceremony, never-ending pressure, and the razor-sharp swords of numerous enemies, he still managed to deal with problems gracefully whenever they presented themselves. This, though, was different.

A pink-haired shinigami with large, blinking eyes and rather humongous expectancies was staring up at him with a radiant grin. While the captain of the 6th had been known to deal with the girl expertly, especially compared to others, it was still a constant struggle to keep her from ruining his day.

“I have no interest in fighting Zaraki-taichou,” he murmured, though he knew it wouldn’t be enough.

“Will you fight him anyway?” the bubbly lieutenant asked, grin unchanging.

“Kusajishi-fukutaichou,” he said, though he always felt foolish for addressing the child with such respect, “I have much more pressing matters to attend to. None of which, I’m sure, you’d appreciate for their importance.”

The girl blinked some more, completely unaware of the frustration growing in the usually cold noble. Of all things, it was cheery innocence that managed to drive him insane.

“Ken-chan is bored.” The sentence was said with a definite pout, something in her voice betraying that she thought this was enough explanation for anyone to be pressured into fighting the burly captain of the 11th.

“I am quite sure Zaraki-taichou has plenty of paperwork left to finish. Perhaps he can relieve his boredom by filling out those.”

~

“Mayaru?”

The captain flinched at the way his name was being destroyed - fitting the Division the girl was in - and balled his fists.

“That’s Kurotsuchi-taichou to you, little girl,” he hissed, but the lieutenant just smiled.

“Kurotusi! Like Nemu!”

A pale hand rubbed at Mayuri’s eyes. He’d known allowing his daughter to go to the meetings of the Shinigami Women’s Association had been wrong, if only because it meant she did things he wasn’t aware of. Such as intermingling with the likes of Matsumoto and Yachiru. Two horrible role-models, to be sure.

“Will you fight Ken-chan?” the girl asked again, not aware of the murderous thoughts the creepy captain was having towards his own creation. While clearly not the reason for this conversation, he would relish in taking it out on his daughter anyway.

“I would rather spend all day pulling out my own toenails than fight that animal,” Mayuri spat angrily, face contorted at the mere thought of having to cross blades with the man. “Come to think of it, that’s exactly what I’m going to do!”

Trying to come up with some experiment that would require excruciating pain, the captain of the 12th hastened down the hallway. He didn’t quite catch the devilish grin that was on Yachiru’s face, but would have been glad over it. Glad, until that evening he found his laboratory in shambles and pink paint covering the walls. Yachiru never suffered rejection well.

~

“Will you fight Ken-chan?”

Yumichika looked at the back of his lieutenant’s head with a bit of apprehension, one delicate eyebrow raised. He crossed his arms and stepped forward, causing the young girl - young by Seireitei standards, at least - to tear her attention away from the bald man lying in the nearby hospital bed.

“He can’t answer, fukutaichou. He’s still unconscious from the last time they fought.”

“Oh.” Pouting like only she could - and Yumichika had tried - his lieutenant jumped on the bed and stared down at the sleeping 3rd seat. He wondered what she was thinking about and whether it included waking Ikkaku. While they usually got on well - a bit too well, some had said - Yumichika had no intentions of dealing with his injured friend. For a fighting machine, he could be a right bitch about having to stay in bed.

Summary: The day Kurotsuchi Mayuri was lead out of his prison, everything changed. (Urahara/Mayuri.)
Words: 450

He had spent a huge part of his life between stone and iron, tucked away in some niche while meek shinigami shuffled towards him whenever they thought he needed food. The chain, constantly chafing whenever he moved, reminded him of his fate. His mere thoughts and the brilliant ideas he had made him dangerous and even though he had yet to act, he’d been thrown in jail like some thief, or murderer. It made him envision all the things he’d do, should he ever break out.

When he finally did - though breaking out ended up being the wrong term, as he was lead by a smiling captain and a surly looking vice-captain - he’d almost forgotten about his promise to himself. It had been so long.

To him the world seemed new. While it had existed around him, he hadn’t lived in it. His world had consisted of dimmed lights and the pitter-patter of rats on the floor, not this vibrant, colourful vision before him. His eyes didn’t move fast enough for him to take everything in, and he hated them for it. His heart pounded at the sight of trees, or the feel of wind on his face. He remained impassive, but the sensations sparked something new in him. Expectation.

Title: -
Summary: Over a century ago Hitsugaya Toushirou made a statement he has long since forgotten about. Matsumoto, however, is determined to keep him to his word. Problem is, it doesn’t all go quite the way she’d planned. (Matsumoto/Hitsugaya.)
Words: 614

“Maybe if I start wearing Kira’s badge,” he hissed, “Then I’ll really complete that Gin-fantasy you’ve got going.”

The air crackled with reiatsu as everything around them went quiet. A sharp snap, Hitsugaya’s head forced to the side, as Matsumoto’s hand turned his cheek red with a sudden burst of anger. Her hand throbbed as it dropped, balled into a fist as she turned resolutely and stormed out. Everyone watched her go.

Bleach.

Gah, I just can't believe how much I hate people for blowing up the Renji/Byakuya pairing the way they have. I mean, sure, there are some moments between the two, but none of them come even remotely close to being evidence of some sort of relationship. People act like this is one of those fireproof ships and act like they'd be compatible, when they really aren't. Ugh.

Edit.

This is not true. I don't actually believe this. (It was a Halloween dare.) I actually love Byakuya/Renji. ;)
