"Awesome things?" Yay! I'm so glad you liked it evelyn! Regarding Cas' grace, I always felt like Metatron was holding something back during the show, like he *could* have solved the problem for Cas if he had wanted to, and so as I was writing this, that's what came to me. As for Cas getting in on the torturing, one of my favorite lines regarding Cas was after Cas beat the crap out of Dean and Dean said to Sam something like "Word to the wise, don't piss off the nerd angels!" LOL Cas can have a bit of a temper as has been seen on more than one occasion, but that's what inspired that part.

As for the damage that was done to Metatron's internal organs and such, I thought about the same things, but the show has shown us angels in peril as well. The examples that came to my mind were Hannah after all her friends were killed, and Gadreel after Dean sliced him up with the First Blade, not to mention the angel in the "heaven" Metatron made up for Cas. I just took it a step further I guess in assuming that without the double grace Metatron would have died from the wounds caused by the angle blade weapons.
