Rainy Day's When You Cannot Get Out Of The House

Feb 05, 2008 23:05

It has been a bit of a melancholy day. It has rained on and off most of the day and if it were not for the fact I enjoy the sound of the before said rain I would feel most stir crazy. My medication has had me on a bit of a manic I have to admit. I think I made the mistake of doubling my dosage while still asleep this morning. It tends to make me a bit shaky and cranky but I am thought it. It also gave me an excuse to quiet my ass down a bit.

As I have explained many times before I choose to work at night, I have a piss ant of a “Red Neck” neighbor who complains about the music long before curfew usually around 8:00 P.M bitching about the noise. I invited him in for a moment where he could see where the Television was and said to his dumb ass… “ Is there anything wrong with what you are hearing out of that television right now? Nuff said. He tucked his tail (or maybe was a bullprod between his legs and proceeded to leave.

One particular evening I had asked the office and got their permission to put up one of those handicapped signs in the parking space. My GF has severe problems with her back from many years of bull riding so I got it built and proceeded to put it out in the yard. Piss Ant comes out and says, “Hey do you have a permit for one of those things?”

Me being the general smartass that I am, sternly but firmly said yes, if you could read or at least notice numbers on the handicapped sticker on the windshield you would be able to figure it out. I hate Ignorant people. I guess his audition for “Brokeback Mountain” never went through so hew held the word responsible for his problems.

So my mornings usually do not start until about 1 to 3 in the afternoon. I enjoy the peace and quiet that I get from the fact that there is no one around to interfere with my sleep. Then from there I get up, have a bit of coffee and sit down for about 30 minutes, read a passage out of a book “ A First Zen Reader” and enjoy the sounds of the things that go on around me. Could be the bubbles from the fish tank, maybe the gentle whisper of the ceiling fan as it whirls above.

Other than that it has been just one of those boring, “I don’t want to get out of the house if I have to” days and I have completed my task. At this point I will go back to watch my movie and get out of here for the night.

Everyone have a Yummy Sunny Evening
