What Happens When "Organizations" Take Things Too Far

How should I begin this? I am so dumbfounded by what I witnessed that it scares me that there is a channel devoted to this way of thinking. I was channel surfing pondering over my 900 choices of satellite television when something caught my eye. Or should I say my ear ( Read more... )

It's funny, it is the same Religious Zealots that sit on the edge of the razor-wire fence who just so happened to elect officials in the US to positions because they were all for the "Good Cause" only to now say that they hate the same policies that are now enforced by their previously elected official. I say to them, “You elected the bastards, you are the one’s that have to deal with them now”.

I am going to say this for what it is and I am not meaning that I am for one party or another. I live in Texas it is historically very Republican; further, my county happens to be the that has the highest per capita of aged in the entire state, and they are also.

The entire time the elections were going on there was this great push by the religious and aged majorities to elect President Bush. NOW that things are getting completely getting out of hand in countries abroad and now as of June 29, in light of the terrorist incidents in Britain and the heightened alerts here in the US in response to them.

I heard just today while standing in line behind a woman who said that she hated everything that was happening over in the Middle East and further regretted the fact that President W. Bush was elected into office.

I ended up walking out behind her and I watched as she got into a car 3 lengths closer than mine with both a religious affiliation and “W94” campaign sticker on the back. I assume the man in the car waiting was her husband keeping the car cool till her return.

From the look of her age I can almost bet that the late model vehicle they were driving was not bought second hand and could only hope that with the beliefs that she talked about in the store this meant that she voted differently than her husband during the election.

Unfortunately though, I hear these comments far too often here. The distinction is greater, the words are much more abrupt especially when it comes to troops being abroad and the once thought greater cause is not so great anymore. For God’s sake we cannot fix all of the problems here in the US let alone those in other lands.

You, our peers and I will remember these same things being said not very long ago chronologically speaking. In our case though The Commies were the enemy, protests of outrage and trepidation were everywhere, and costs of goods were drastically on the up rise due in part to the military need for spending. Specifically speaking things are different but you have to admit that the similarities are incredible.

Profoundly what will be remembered for this 20 or 30 years down the road is what the fuck didn’t we learn the first time. I just hope it will not be our children here talking about these things on THEIR Live Journals at that time making reference to the mistakes that were made 60 years earlier.
