Not because I want to feel its cold kiss on my cheeks
Or the wind to tickle my nape
I wish for rain
Not because I want to walk on murky puddles
Or suffer hours inside a packed jeepney in the middle of a monstrous traffic jam
I wish for rain
So the heavy downpour can drown out my cries
So my muffled sobs would be overpowered by the gush of the winds
I wish for rain
Just for tonight
I wish for rain
