el milagro de la manzana

yes, it's true, apples are amazing. not only do they wake a person up in the morning better than coffee, and not only are they healthy, but they also cure headaches. min is completely gone, and i feel significantly less nauseous...always a plus.

i won my 10000 race today, which was yay, even if it did seal my fate to have a messed up intersessional leave schedule...i.e. intersessional leave may not happen for me this year. then i went on a two or so mile cooldown, only to find that someone had grabbed my bookbag and racing flats. well, that bag had some vital things to my life including my cell phone, letter-writing stuff, latest letter, and music. so i ran over to macdonough to see if someone had taken it there. no luck, so i ran over to halsey to see if it was there, at which point coach carla told me beth had grabbed it for me. then i ran back to my room, showered quickly, and then ran over to her room in seventh wing, then back to mine. exhaustion reigns supreme.

i'm a plebe for a mere 5 weeks now, yet i'm embracing youngsterhood more and more each day. take today: not only did i not chop or soundoff, but i did not square a single corner and barely walked in the center of the hallway at all. woohoo. and right now i'm listening to music. incidentally, it took me a while to get "underneath your clothes" out of my head and get "holding out for a hero" in there instead for the race, serves me right, darnit.

time to get ready for watch. unfun. really unfun.
