Straight No Chaser
Last year I was surfing on YouTube and I think I went there to find a version of The Lion Sleeps Tonight. Or maybe it was Perpetuum Jazzile's version of Africa or something. But the fact is that I found SNC's version of The Lion Sleeps Tonight and I was hooked. You see, I have a real soft spot for a capella groups (see my previous obsession with Perpetuum Jazzile) and when I hit a goldmine that is a really good a capella group, there's no turning back.
I think I went through all the videos from the NY concerts as well as some old ones with the original line-up and also with the school line-up. But it was the touring SNC that i fell in love with, and sort of especially Mike (he's up there). I can even pinpoint the song that made me fall head over heels in love with the group and Mike.
palm__treeWas so kind to give me their first EP and then i went and bought their Christmas CDs, since the majority of their repertoire is Christmas music (more Christmas music I can play all year long). The three main voices are Ryan, Mike and Jerome...fyi.
