Thank you!

Just checked on the Angel tree page, and Sadie has jumped up by $200 since yesterday!  Thank you to whoever that was.

Has been a hectic last 24 hours.  They had the "clothing swap" at out school this morning - people donate their outgrown clothes for a couple of weeks leading up to it, and then you can come in & just take whatever you like that fits you.  Anything left at the end is donated to Treehouse, a local organization that provides free clothes to foster kids.  As usual, we got a bunch of nice shirts & a pair of pants for each of the bigger girls, a few things for Arthur & Linnet, plus a really nice shirt for me that I can wear to the Christmas party this evening (the Kayaking Carolers are coming  - always fun, when you live on a houseboat Santa comes in a Kayak strung with Christmas lights).

The hectic part was that I hadn't really been planning to stay yesterday after school & help sort clothes, so  I parked on the other side of the playground, where you have to move the car by 4 PM (and they are really vigilant about towing).  But then we did stay to help out, and at 4:10 when we left the school it dawned on me where the car was - and sure enough there were blinking red lights down the hill where the car was.  So we all ran, and I yelled for Lydia & Teresa to run ahead (because I couldn't run very fast with the stroller) and the guy was just getting ready to pick the car up when we arrived.   Fortunately he was very nice & didn't charge me (now, I think only a truly horrible person would have picked the car up & taken it away & left me on the curb with 4 howling kids, but he could have charged the the $200 or however much it was before unhooking us, but he chose not to).  So we were in the nick of time & I just have to pay a parking ticket.  Lydia found the whole thing exciting, but Teresa was really upset & it took her a while to calm down after we got home.  In future I think I will just not park there, even if the other spaces are farther away!
