part one: cleaning out my bookmarks

Jun 20, 2008 19:44

Because I've let it go for a few days, the links piled up a bit. I'll be doing this in two parts because I'm trying to finish a dozen other things up tonight. The other part will probably be posted sometime in the wee morning.

Anthony Michael Hall looks back fondly on The Dead Zone. (There has been talk about a movie, but he's not optimistic about its chances.)

And he talks about his role in The Dark Knight & its viral marketing campaign here.

It's a pleasant change when failure in the US doesn't necessarily mean the end of a franchise. Two more Arthur & the Invisibles Minimoys movies will be coming out in 2009 & 2010.

James McAvoy talks about how he got into shape for Wanted.

I'm fairly certain that The Riches has been cancelled, though I can't find any firm confirmation at this time. But, considering that its showrunners are now attached to the Captain Cook's Extraordinary Atlas pilot, I'd say its future is grim.

The complete box art for the Supernatural s3 DVDs.

William Hurt has joined the cast of Damages.

BuddyTV has the airdates for the final Avatar: The Last Airbender episodes & a commentary about the disservice the network has done to the show and its fans. (Maybe it was a good thing that I decided to wait until the show was over to watch it. I don't do patience well. :P)

Mary McDonnell fans (& really all Battlestar Galactica fans) should definitely read this interview she did with Zap2It. There are huge frakkin' spoilers for the midseason finale in there, so I wouldn't recommend it to those who have yet to watch it.

If you can handle spoilers for Smallville s8, here are casting & character details for two new villains who will be making their appearances in the coming season. (I'm trying to be more mindful of posting casting spoilers, but I do think that BSG fans might be interested to know that the actor who played Crashdown looks to make a big impact on Smallville. :D)

Ever Carradine has joined the cast of Eureka for at least 4 episodes. The article has details on her character & how she 'relates' to an established character.
