Aug 21, 2008 02:08

who; Mina & Olivier
what; Bonding over brownie sundaes.
when; Evening of August 14th
where; Olivier's apartment

Mina had made brownies and left them to cool in the kitchen before going to the living room and curling on the couch with a little blanket and some music. She was in a foul mood after her discussion with Aristide and the memories and Andrej and Alesh just being a special jerk.

She... just had no luck with men.

Sighing a little, she curled on her side and rolled on the couch, getting comfortable. Well... whatever.

Olivier's hair was still damp, but he didn't mind it as he walked from the bathroom into the kitchen. The smell of something had drifted throughout the apartment, and upon discovery, he found the freshly-made brownies. The Knight took a knife and cut one in half before popping half of it into his mouth, walking away from the kitchen to go and find his visiting guest.

He took the brownie half from his mouth to swallow what he had as he walked up to the couch, leaning over casually and chewing some more of the brownie half. After a moment, he walked around and sat in the armchair nearby. "Mina?" he asked casually.

"Yes?" She opened one eye to look at him and she shifted on the couch to look at him. Mina had become more or less... a permanent guest, which was why she was thinking of just buying a place in Rome and move in there.

The brownie smell was good, not as good as some nice incense or scented candles but, it was good enough.

Olivier finished off the rest of the brownie half before leaning on one hand. "The brownies are good. Although maybe I should have waited a few more minutes. But thank you for making them."

He focused on her headphones, before he changed them just ever so slightly. Some color, maybe a unique design. He was bored, but he enjoyed messing with Mina ever so slightly.

"And here I was thinking you wouldn't appreciate them." she replied sweetly, though it was clear she wasn't in a great mood. Not with Olivier, just in general.

Mina looked slightly confused before she felt her headphones change slightly, wait- wait- she reached up one hand to touch them. "Hey-!" she mocked glared at him before a slipper was thrown his way.

"Oh no, I appreciate them more than you think. A brownie sundae is sounding good right about now." Oh, did he catch sight of her moodiness, which is why he was being careful with his words.

A grin couldn't help appearing on his face before he caught the thrown slipper, "All I did was add some color to it," he replied.

"Your sense of colouring is nothing to be proud of." Mina informed him promptly, sitting up and wagging one finger in his direction. She didn't care too much about her hair broaches, not right now.

"Be careful not to choke on the brownies," she added after a pause before dropping back onto the couch with a dramatic 'blah I hate life' sigh.

"Different shades of blue and silver are quite nice colors, and they suit you." He hadn't messed with her hair brooches - yet.

"......are you planning on killing me via brownies?" That would be unique, but he'd hate to die via tainted brownies. Fuck.

He leaned back in the armchair and crossed his arms, watching her before he got up and walked off towards the kitchen.

Mina was a bit stunned at that, she'd assumed he had made them yellow and orange or something to irritate her. "No." She replied and got up to follow him into the kitchen, missing both shoes since she wasn't about to waddle with one off and one on.

"Though maybe I should and take over your apartment."

He turned once he grabbed two small bowls from the cabinet, as well as two spoons.

"Now that wouldn't be nice," he commented, taking out the two pints of ice cream and the toppings he had in the fridge - sauces, cherries, different nuts.

"Well, since you're here, I'll just complete the surprise with you here. I was going to bring your a brownie sundae," he popped open one of the pints of ice cream.

Surprised again, so she offered a smile, "My isn't that thoughtful of you, especially after I been planning to kill you and take over your house." she teased. Standing out of his way she continued the thoughts she had been entertaining online.

"You think I should get a new place? Move out?"

"Well, I'm not one to sit by and see a lady be annoyed." He could see Mina as a little sister of sorts, and that reminded him of Mireille back in Paris.

Hm. He would have to make a trip to see her soon.

"Well, are you thinking of moving to Rome permanently?" He looked at her once the bowls were decorated with sauces and some chopped nuts, before he put the scoops of ice cream on top. He cut three brownies in half and set three halves in every bowl, before finishing off with a little bit more sauces, a, few more chopped nuts and two cherries on top.

"Here is your surprise, my lady," Olivier handed her a bowl with a spoon.

"It is that obvious?" She asked and then shook her head a little, she supposed it was, she wasn't trying to hide it away or anything.

"Not permanently, but for a longer period of time that I had thought. There's no reason for me to go back to Berlin." Somehow, those thoughts made her uncomfortable and she was glad when he distracted her by handing her the bowl.

"Why, thank you kind sir." She smiled at him.

"I have a sister, I can sense that vibe of annoyance or irritation pretty easily," the Knight leaned against the counter with his own bowl or spoon, taking up a scoop.

"Well, why don't you buy a place out here? That way you have an escape to go to, especially if I suddenly disappear on you, or even move." Distractions were always welcome.

"You're welcome," he returned the smile - something rare, something that wasn't given easily.

It suited him, smiling. So Mina took a moment to appreciate that before answering him. "Trying to get me out so you can go back to your bachelor ways, eh?" she teased. "...I'm quite comfortable like this. I know it can't stay like this but." She was comfortable living like this with him and going out and doing stuff in the city. She didn't mind his friends or his weird habits, Mina only worried that he was involved in something...illegal.

She swirled her dessert around in thought. It looked delicious but she wasn't that hungry.

That earned him a light scoff, "I'm not that desperate or crazy for a girlfriend." Especially with the Orders and the war - it would be a bad choice on his part to get involved now. "If you'd like, help me out with finding something bigger. I have outgrown this place, really. And since I want a place with more bedrooms, one of those rooms could become yours."

He noticed her not eating the sundae, "Why don't you put that in the freezer for later?"

"Now that is a surprise." she teased.

His offer made her raise both eyebrows, the polite thing would be to ask if it was alright, but then again... Mina was still Mina, so putting her bowl on the counter she threw her arms around Olivier in a comical bear-hug, "You're tired of sleeping on the couch?" she teased looking up at him.

Olivier moved his bowl out of the way as she gave him a bear-hug, returning it with his free arm. "That too," he retorted. "But, no, I really do need the extra room. I'm going to start looking at some I have picked out already on the weekend; care to join me?"

Mina grinned up at him, "I suppose we could share your bed as long as you keep your hands to yourself~" Or not, it would be amusing either way. "Or not." she laughed and dropped her hold on him.

"Apartment looking? That's an interesting sort of date. Why not."

"I'm fine on the couch, I'm just tired of this space, really." He'd like to have a patio or deck for entertainment, as well as a room inside the house. A big kitchen and quite a number of bedrooms would be good, as well.

"More like house looking. It'd be better in the long run, and I'll treat you to dinner afterwards."

Mina gave him a pat on the back and picked up her plate again. Suddenly she was in the mood to eat again. She felt good, a bit more content and distracted from her misadventures with the other boys. So to speak.

"Alright, Olly~" Oh hey, she found a nickname for him, about time too. "It's a date." She rose on tiptoes to kiss his cheek.

Mina couldn't lie, she loved being pampered and treated well and Olivier was a gentleman.
