the boy

I don't think I've ever been so busy in my life; I am utterly exhausted.

Things are going well with Paolo. He's really sweet and funny and absolutely adorable. Thursday night, our first date, he bought me the best hot chocolate and we spent a few hours wandering in Hyde Park. Friday he sent me flowers at work. LOVE. He then took me for dinner at the Bavarian Bier Cafe in the city before a stroll along Darling Harbour and because I had the flowers with me to take home we were getting a lot of jealous stares. Yesterday I spent the day with him at his place in Dee Why (oh sweet jesus I have never seen a messier place in my life his clothes are EVERYWHERE) and after cuddling a while went for a walk along the beach. His only bad habit is that he smokes, but I won't nag him on it.

This is a pic of him from his ethnic family birthday party Saturday night (by that I mean there was a lot of ethnic food and getting drunk. Sadly, I could not attend) While he is as blind as a bat, he doesn't actually wear glasses - those are his cousin's.

Man, I do love a guy in a waistcoat...

Apart from seeing Paolo I also went to the grower's markets with mum on Saturday, spent five hours shopping and then came home to Penrith for dinner. The cat sitting for my sister is going well but I really miss my own bed and my own stuff. Normally I'd be back home a few nights a week but now that I work in Balmain that doesn't really happen. After hanging with Paolo in Dee Why I had to drive to Moore Park to see Wil Anderson with Jen, which was brilliant. He is hilarious. But all the driving has thoroughly exhausted me, more so because I've never driven from Castle Hill to Dee Why to Moore Park and back to Castle Hill before and I got lost at least half a dozen times.

I've been neglecting my reading duties and the editing tasks I have to do for anthology. Oops.

Now that I have update I really should get back to work.

life, boy, work
