A Month and a Half in Review

To start my husband and I bought our first home on Sept. 29. Though we didn't get to move in our furniture till 5 in the evening because our U-Haul got a flat tire. Had to wait almost two hours before someone came to fix it and then we got stuck in rush hour traffic. Luckily we were able to get everything in the house in a few hours and I spent the rest of the week unpacking and trying to figure out where to put it all. You never know how much crap you have till you have to pack it all up. We painted the kitchen and bought paint for the living room and hallway, but still haven't gotten that far yet. Had two housewarming parties but I was so busy that I didn't get a chance to take pictures or even relax during them. Then Halloween came and we sat outside for over three hours giving out candy to a parade of children. Honestly I have never seen so many kids since I was little and trick-er treating myself. Next year we decide we are going to go all out and do a massive display with our next door neighbor. Again no pics but it was nice being able to talk with the neighbors and others that live in the community. Also I choped off almost all of my hair. It is just below my ears now and I'm still getting use to the feeling of all that weight being gone. I'll post a pic later if I remember to take a photo. I know I'm bad at that!

Election day...well I went to vote but, I didn't realize that I had to change my address and get a new registration card.  I could have driven an hour and a half back to Baltimore to vote but as the procrastinator that I am it was already practically evening by the time had found out. I left it to fate believing that  living in a Democratic state my guy would win. And of course he did. YAY! Since I live out in the country where the Klan is a major occurrence (Seriously our neighbor who grew up around here said he used to go to cross burnings every Friday night, but only for the free beer he assured us!), it was silent the night the country came to it's senses. When dirt bike riding with my husband and his brother for the first time. Did okay up to the point where I hit a large puddle and slid into a tree. Messed up my shin a little and got a huge bruise on my thigh and shoulder, but hey chick dig scars!

Lately I have been sending in resumes and applications like crazy trying to find a job. Damn economy is making it quite difficult! So that pretty much brings us up to date. I'm starting to have manga with-drawls since I can't afford to buy any until I get a job. I'm surviving on scanlations, yet it's not quite the same as have a book in your hands. Oh well such as life. Hopefully I will hear from some one soon.

I'm suppose to see photoash when she comes to Baltimore next month. I'm so excited to see her, I can't wait. I know it's so pathetic when the only friends you have are those met online and only get to see once maybe twice a year, but their kindness never leaves me and are in my thoughts despite how far away they may live. Till next time!

new house, life
