Note to UK viewers, BBC3 is showing the World Cup final between the USA and Japan this evening. Kick-off's at 7.45pm and it should be a good one. I'm backing the US to win their third title but, like many, hope to see first-time finalists Japan win it.
This World Cup has been an incredibly frustrating one for me. I haven't seen any of the matches! Most frustrating was missing seeing Sarah Gregorius put NZ one nil up against England in their first group match. Even though England came back in the second half to win and NZ went on to finish bottom in their group.
I actually feel sorrier for England, who did advance out of Group B only to go out on penalties against France. And sorriest of all for Faye White, who missed her penalty while wearing the captain's armband.
Anyway, tonight I'm either going to be glued to the TV or *sigh* more likely, glued to my phone and the #wwc tag on Twitter.
